Mallnitz, an idyllic alpine village at 1,200 m above the sea level,
embedded in an unspoiled mountain landscape,
is the gateway to the national park Hohe Tauern and is also
a sanatorium with a curing climate and an officially approved seal of air quality.
The community extends over an area of 110 km².
To the community Mallnitz belong the villages Mallnitz, Stappitz, Rabisch and Dösen.
Mallnitz lies directly at the north-south train junction
and accommodates a declared Intercity train station.
Whether you are coming from Munich, Udine, Zurich or Vienna - all trains lead to Mallnitz.
